Morning :-) We finish our week of photos from a beautiful West Bay sunset with the final shot I took, as the sun dipped below the horizonm the colours of sunset started to fade, and the light started to change to the blue tones of dusk...

Morning :-) So, my week of shots from a fabulous Sunday evening West Bay sunset continues as the sun starts to set and lights up the retreating storm clouds with beautiful pink and orange hues. Well worth the drive through the rain!

Morning! Today's shot from a fabulous Sunday sunset at West Bay last weekend is this shot from the breakwater as the storm clouds started to move away, revealing some amazing cloud structure (after 29 years working at the Met Office, I still love a good cloud! 🤣)

Morning from soggy Devon! It’s been raining for weeks, so I’ve barely been out shooting.

On Sunday I spotted a break in the forecast, dashed to West Bay and waited. As the storm moved off, the sun broke through, lighting the golden cliffs with a rainbow – the first of the images I’ll share this wk.

Finally, just before I got back in the car to try and warm up after 2 hours stood around in the cold, this is a shot of the pier at dusk, lit up against the cold winter sky.....

Morning! This week we're visiting Paignton Pier in my week of photos - a set from a cold, windy winter afternoon just before sunset. I enjoyed playing with long exposures of the fast moving clouds, although the feeling is only just coming back into my fingers 😂

Finally for this week, another snowy shot from last winter - with a beautiful treeline road covered in snow as the first light of the sun started to light up the scene....

Morning! I only managed to take a couple of snowy shots during the last very localised snow event, so today is one from last winter! A beautiful winter scene at Princetown Church as the sun sets on a snowy winter's day....

Morning. Next on a week of snowy photos is a simple camera shot of the snowy banks of the reservoir reflected in the still water just before sunrise...

Morning! Devon didn’t see much snow this time, but Dartmoor got some. I was heading to a job in North Devon and couldn’t resist a quick stop at Meldon Reservoir for sunrise. Grabbed a few shots with the drone — all above board, taken legally from outside the open access area where drones are banned

Finally this week, a similar shot to yesterday's, this time looking towards the fish market, with the Christmas 'Brixham' sign lit up against the fading light. Again this is a long exposure frame for the water and sky merged with a shorter shutter speed shot to freeze the boats.

On my pre‑Christmas trip to Brixham I moved from the tidal bell to the harbour at high tide, waiting for blue hour so the town and Christmas lights popped. I shot a 30‑second exposure for blurred clouds and water, then a short one for crisp boats, and blended them in Photoshop.
