I suspect that there's a self-protective psychology at play there. Like, they're good liberals who care about people, and so if Covid was a problem, they would be acting like it. So therefore Covid must not be a problem.
Also, given recent discourse: masking in public spaces and at work/school had a considerable negative association (ie less hesitancy to get vaccinated), both for initial and persistent hesitancy. There was no data on the effects of being a podcaster.
