Is it working though? I feel like most people are seeing it for the sham it is- or maybe I'm in an echo chamber….

So enjoyed this episode and listening to Melissa and Maryanne discuss POSSUM! “Oh, Look at the letters, what letters can be….they can turn words that we say— into words that we see” love that way of summing up alphabetic principle from Maryanne Wolf! #SOR #EDUSky
Sounds perfect to me! No lesson goes 100% to plan and I think that models something real that a teacher feels they can replicate! And gives them permission to try and make some mistakes along the way! ❤️

The ‘How to Teach’ section highlights explicit, systematic, cumulative, interactive instruction, and feedback, with the phrase ‘Targeted, Planned & Purposeful’ illustrating effective practices. Attributed to the International Dyslexia Association (2020) and Smartt & Glaser (2023).

Good on you! I'm sure that kindergarten teacher was inspired and excited to give it a go! 😊
How'd it go?! 😄
Tiffany was one of my favorite follows on the other app!
I haven't found her on here (is she here?!) but I love Tiffany Peltier’s phonemic awareness tower! So user friendly and the integrating phonics box has helped me explain how adding graphemes gives us more bang for our buck!!!
