For much of the night, it felt like the Spurs were simply trying to survive. But basketball games, especially ones involving this young Spurs team, have a way of turning quickly.

That 25 point lead for the Clippers is gone. Spurs on a 13-0 run and Vassell's three gives San Antonio the 99-97 lead with 7:35 left in regulation.
Ty Lue needs a timeout as the Frost Bank Center is rockin'. The Fox-Wemby PnR gets De'Aaron two points to get the Spurs within 5 points. Spurs were down 25 points in the 3rd quarter.
Spurs outscore the Clippers 35-26 in the 3rd quarter to cut the deficit to 11 entering the final 12 minutes.
