Yes! I’m amazed that so many people don’t understand what satire is. 😳
I keep having to post comments beneath satire posts, so that I can point out the obvious, such as…
“Ha! [whatever satire source appears in the post] is the *best* at satire and always seem to find the humor in this craziness.”

It’s insane! I only occasionally check out the MAGA posts from my hometown friends and family, because I want to see what is guiding their current views, but their posts give me anxiety. It’s quite shocking and Meta lets this continue because they need engagement and can monetize the outrage.

How odd that the “Board of Peace” establishes itself by letting its “permanent leader” start a war. 🤨

It’s so sad to see the best news correspondents leaving. Scott MacFarlane will be missed. I hope he finds an even better position elsewhere.

I guess he’s known for strength and fitness coaching and Facebook probably wants the engagement, but his posts are toxic.

And yet… an account full of hateful posts is allowed to remain because it gets a lot of attention from MAGA accounts. It’s obvious rage bait, but Meta won’t do anything about it. (I found the account when a MAGA cousin reposted one of this dude’s hateful posts.)

Social media platforms have turned the reality of the average person into serial episodes of choose your own adventure.

That’s a good description of what I’m seeing on social media.
