Letโs be clear: weโve already seen U.S. citizens detained by ICE despite having proof of citizenship. Now weโre supposed to trust this same government to police paperwork at the ballot box? tinyurl.com/yhwj7b77

We rewatched the halftime show and the closing is so powerful. Bad Bunnyโs final messages during his Super Bowl performance:
โThe only thing more powerful than hate is love.โ
โTogether, we are America.โ
Macbeth: SHIT
Elmo @elmo ยท 1h That Bunny was AMAZING. Elmo thinks he should be called Good Bunny! Elmo loves you, Mr. Good Bunny! โค๏ธ๐ถ๐ฐ Based Yankee @thebasedyankee You and Bad Bunny should be deported
It's not even midnight and we're already at "Deport Elmo."
Confirmed the boy was NOT Liam, but that was a REAL wedding! So cool. That show was beautiful.
That was awesome!
A brand new Super PAC โ Elect Chicago Women โ just dropped hundreds of thousands of dollars into this race. Why?
Because itโs actually a front for AIPAC dark money. And theyโre doing everything they can to buy my race:
The Trump administration has finalized a rule that reclassifies tens of thousands of federal positions in a way that removes long-standing job protections and makes it easier to fire or discipline those workers.

I had an awesome time exploring Space Center Houston today! So much fun I was there literally from open to close.
A weak atmospheric river will continue periods of gusty winds, rain, and mountain snow over the Pacific Northwest through Friday. A rapidly deepening storm centered just off the North Carolina coast Friday night through Saturday night will produce widespread heavy snow and wind. weather.gov
It has been a great week! This will likely be my last AMS for a while, so Iโm glad this was such a great week of presenting, networking, and hanging out with old friends! #AMS2026
An infographic from the National Weather Service titled "Key Messages for Eastern U.S. Winter Storm," issued Thursday, January 29, 2026. The graphic details an impactful winter storm expected to affect the Southern Appalachians, Carolinas, and the East Coast from Friday through Monday morning. Text Summary The graphic highlights three primary areas of concern: Heavy Snow: Significant heavy snow is expected across the Southern Appalachians, Carolinas, and southern Mid-Atlantic. Confidence is lower for areas further north, with the exception of southeast New England. Strong Winds and Coastal Impacts: Rapidly deepening storm system producing near-hurricane force wind gusts along the Mid-Atlantic coast. This will coincide with high tides to cause coastal flooding. Near-blizzard conditions and treacherous travel are expected in northeast North Carolina and southeast Virginia. Forecast Uncertainty: The storm could pose considerable disruptions to the Carolinas and southeast Virginia, while impacts in the Northeast remain less certain. Map Details A map of the Eastern United States displays the "Chance of at least Moderate Snowfall Impacts." High Probability (>95%): A large dark red area covers much of North Carolina, northern South Carolina, and southern Virginia. Moderate to High Probability (60โ90%): Indicated by bright red and orange bands surrounding the high-probability core. Low to Medium Probability (5โ50%): Represented by shades of yellow, green, and blue extending into the Southern Appalachians and along the coast up to southeast New England.
Forecast confidence continues to grow that a significant snowstorm will impact a much of the Carolinas into Southeast Virginia this weekend, with greater uncertainty farther up the coast. weather.gov
it makes sense to have stronger enforcement of the code of ethics and consequences for not following it.
If you donโt follow the code of ethics or keep up with the education requirements, you lose your PE. Meteorology doesnโt necessarily need the same level of state licensing that engineering has, but considering where the industry is currently,โฆ
I think the issue is enforcement. Like Dr. Peterson mentioned, for engineering we have a lot that goes into getting a PE plus education requirements every year (including continued ethics training) in order to maintain the license once you have it.
As someone who is both an engineer and a meteorologist I loved hearing Dr. Martin Peterson speak on the code of ethics in engineering in the context of how we can apply ethics in meteorology. #AMS2026
