Not gonna go into detail but my grandma just passed away
Doing a listen thru of the 1980 year end chart and I gotta ask, why the fuck are there so many ballads and more importantly why do most of them suck
John Dilworth is probably the saddest fall off I've seen yet
I actually do like several 2010s hits, even some of the overplayed ones, itβs just surprising to hear them so often again when they arenβt new enough to be modern but not old enough to be classics and the nostalgia cycle, whatβs left of it that is, is focused primarily on the early 2000s right now
The 2010s, at least for me, might just be the single most inconsistent decade of popular music as we got some really good songs(take me to church, the show goes on, style, love me like you do, etc) alongside some i just canβt stand(thunder, hey soul sister, girls like you, most of bro-country, etc)
This may be true, but the article it's sourced from seems like it was likely written by AI. The website it's from is selling a "professional editing" service, and I can't find any trace of the author "Isabella Chase" aside from other, similarly suspicious websites.

On a semi related note can we please fucking retire ordinary already Iβm so sick of that god awful song
In addition to the expected current stuff the radio stations in my area have been oddly obsessed with music from the 2010s and 1980s, the latter's been the case for a while but the former is a more recent development and I have no clue why.
Yes I've heard the radio in the year 2026, we do exist.
can we stop letting comedy writers make crappy cartoons.
Continuing dexter and ppg without the original creators should go down as two of the most infamous fuck ups in CN's history
I just watched an episode each of powerpuff girls and dexter's lab, before and after their respective movies, and holy shit the quality difference is night and day, they both felt like completely different vastly inferior shows, and in dexter's case I'd argue its one of the worst things CN ever made
"I Haven't Got a Hat", directed by Friz Freleng, was released on this day in 1935. The debut cartoon of Porky Pig.

Been nearly a year since I last had access to any paid streaming services and tbh I donβt miss them one bit as Iβve got blurays and dvds, as well as tubi, for pretty much anything Iβd want to watch, and thereβs always the π΄ββ οΈ option if need be.
βI can think of worse things heβs done than gooning to Pixar charactersβ
The paragraph implies something much more pathetic. That he gooned to SKYDANCEβs characters.

Gotta love how unlike the "complete series" dvd set the entirety of ed edd n eddy is actually here, including big picture show
Seems to be the patternβ¦
Gonna have to get this all nice and finished up at some point
Anyway, I guess this is goodbye to one of the best animated shows of the decade
Just guessing here but I think part of the appeal of shrek, and something I intend on doing with my works, is that yeah it may be snarky and subversive....but its not cynical, there's still heart and a sense of sincerity underneath all the sarcasm that a lot of the movies in its wake failed to get
Rewatched the first 2 shrek movies and ngl it surprised me how much I still enjoyed them, i mean yeah the animation isn't the best and it does have some of the usual problems CG family movies tend to have but not as much as I expected, honestly they have a certain charm to them idk how to describe.
Daffy Duck stars in "Conrad the Sailor", directed by Chuck Jones, released on this day in 1942. Conrad was voiced by Pinto Colvig in his final cartoon.

I'll always admire Ralph Bakshi because in the '70s, when Disney was on the verge of being stripped for parts and televised cartoons were viewed as bottom of the barrel fare, this guy decides "I'm gonna make animated films and I'm gonna try to do it on my terms."
okay real quick π§΅: why AI is definitely going to explode and die, because of the last two times this happened: the dot-com bubble, and enron.
people say these events are complicated, but they're actually pretty simple
During a sleepover at nighttime, Anna stylizes Chilli's hair by giving her lots of red bows. The two girls are sitting on Chilli's bed. On a desk next to the bed is a lamp, who's bright light illuminated that area of the room. Chilli has a long PJ shirt that goes down to her knees. It has the word "KILL' written on it. She also has socks on. She looks up at Anna with a blushing face, while Chilli's head rests on her own hands. Anna wears a plain black t-shirt while looking excited to give her very good friend a light makeover. The glow from the moon shines down on both of them from a window placed high above them. Anna emotes with an exclamation point speech bubble, while Chilli has a thought bubble with a heart inside it. The piece has a purple/pink color scheme. There is a very thin dark purple border surrounding the piece.

I was just informed that it's not entirely done with cels. However, traditional cels were used as a reference. It's pretty much how the digital animation looked more authentically like cel animation. Regardless of it not entirely being done with cels, it's still amazing to see them being used again.
My dumbass completely forgot to mention that classic rock music from artists like Fleetwood Mac, The Beatles, David Bowie, The Rolling Stones and so forth have also greatly influenced this idea as well, just as much if not more than the aforementioned jazz and classical
