Just added an album review of @katherinepriddy.bsky.social to the blog. First one for a while but These Frightening Machines is so good it invites being written about.

Another wonderful Dylan LeBlanc gig in Birmingham. Perhaps not the dramatic impact of the full band Kitchen Garden debut in Novemberβ23 but definitely more in the zone for this second solo appearance.

First listen ahead of her Brum Town Hall gig next week.
For something completely different try @elizamarshall.bsky.social βs new immersive album. Captivating on 1st listen.

Latest gig excursion was a Saturday lunchtime visit to Birmingham Symphony Hall to see the latest presentation of Nashville Sounds in the Round. Finished just in time to catch the usual Saturday afternoon pursuit of non-league football.

Gotta be due for the drop soon. A club of their resources on borrowed prem time after 12 years.

This is shaping up to be a very different Katherine Priddy album in a good way. Looking forward to her Birmingham show in the Town Hall. A 900 seater is a massive step up but sheβll be fine.
This is a really good song, brought Sam back to my attention.
Liking the new songs better than any of his previous stuff.
