You are welcome! It actually was my husbandβs idea.
Thatβs how my corridor at home looks like now after three printing sessions. Iβm getting ready for Sunny Bank Mills Print festival in Leeds next Saturday :)
Such a lovely kitty :)
Thatβs great! Iβll be there too!
Absolutely magical!
Wow! The amount of detail is amazing!
Love this one!
@strangemeadowsart.bsky.social is doing a 365 days of tiny prints challenge and they look great. Makes me want to do a 100 days of the same. Maybe starting from March?
Love the idea of 365 days. Years ago I did the 365 challenge with watercolour sketches, but I failed at about 280β¦ Would love to may be do a 100 days of tiny prints though :)
Reminded me of when my cats opened the bathroom cabinet and shredded and chewed all the toilet paper there :)
Love it! My cats love toilet paper too :)
Yes please!
I will be looking forward to them!
Hand made positives for screenprinting, featuring upturned boats.
A screenprint called Upturned Boats featuring four boats, one standing up and two upturned, with a hut in the background and sea in the foreground.
Last year I made my first positives by hand for this print, Upturned Boats, by cutting paper, painting it black and glueing it onto transparent sheets of polyester. I also drew in pencil and pen and made black brush strokes with an old brush.

Oh wow! I had no idea it can be done this way! I only tried screen printing once using stencils, but always wanted to try the emulsion method! Thank you for sharing this!
So great to find you here! I love your prints!
I love that bit of warm orange on the foreground!
Well, here is my first plant terrarium linocut print and my first experiment printing with Hawthorn inks and their drier. I was surprised to find out that two drops of drier really do make such a massive difference.
Oh the joy of working on the dining room table! It was either this or dragging my press in the rain to my absolutely freezing studio. Despite the mess I think I made a good choice.
I googled Hepworth Print Fair and it looks amazing! Wish I knew about it sooner, I would definitely have applied. Will try to come as a visitor. Are there any other Print Fairs that you would recommend?
Thank you so much! I like Hawthorn inks, but the drying time is a pain so if I can get it sorted I can use them more. They are really local to me.
Love this one! Simple yet so effective! And your use of rainbow roll is great!
Thanks Deb! I saw your post on Linocut printmakers and decided that itβs time for change for me too.
Looking forward to sharing the finished prints tomorrow :)
My latest linocut print will be inked up and printed for the first time tomorrow. Iβm thinking of a green colour and excited to try Hawthorn inks with their drier (without the drier it took another print almost 3 weeks to dry in my studio). So big day tomorrow.
