It's got to be some real insult to injury to have your CEO lay you off while blaming conspiracies and corporate espionage after ordering monitoring software to be secretly installed on employee PCs.

This makes it the best launch week in franchise history.

Imagine a channel putting the biggest spoiler of Requiem front and centre in one of their awful generative AI thumbnails just four days after the release.

I'd say they ought to be fucking embarrassed, but they've got a long list of reasons for that already.

Look it isn't all great all the time but it's still a massive step up and I am ecstatic to take 7, 8 and 9 on the go.

The problem is that the narrative spun by gender critical media is that the hormones themselves present a danger, when in actuality it's the lack of access, regular testing and guidance that causes the danger.

DIY hormones aren't inherently dangerous (how else do you think our ancestors did it for decades?) but naturally the chance for things to go wrong for one reason or another is much higher without the proper assistance and protections that are supposed to be afforded by a working health service.

I've got two playthroughs under my belt now and it's definitely compelling, that's a good word for it. Plays wonderfully. There's just some story stuff that I'm dissatisfied with that I'm trying to come to terms with.

I'm not gonna talk spoilers on the timeline but I think the game wants you to feel that way

I have completed RE9 and I don't know how I feel about it. Like, at all.

But I'm booting up playthrough 2 already so that's something.
