I've always stood by these four words and always will, and I'll say them over and over again because they haven't been shouted enough:
Fuck ICE.
Abolish ICE.
They reduce cooperation with allies. We become isolated from the rest of the world.
This is not, nor has it ever been, "for the people." (3/3)
They don't...
...lower the cost of groceries or rent.
...bolster employment rates or job security.
...provide healthcare.
...increase literacy scores or educational attainment.
...reduce the glaring levels of mental health struggles. (2/3)
In case anybody needs the reminder... invasions & talks of control of other countries will not help the people in the U.S. (1/3)

Then, tackled a Lego set with one of my kiddos. He received a cool Game Boy set, which has incredible detail. (Definitely recommend.)
It's amazing how doing fulfilling things like writing (for me) have helped me stay more present daily.

And that makes one whole week of daily writing toward my fiction short story. 7 days in a row. My only goal is to get words on the page, be it 50 or 1,000, because at this point in my life any progress toward my fiction work is better than no progress at all. ❤️
