Well, gas is expensive, and food is expensive, and weβre doing a war nobody wants, but at least there are no jobs
people in my life keep telling me im the main character. come on folks im not the only manic bisexual you ever met.
These are the 4 things AI can do well:
β’Clean up your email inbox (badly)
β’Give my shittiest neighbor (Alan) something to talk about at a party
β’Tell a 12 yr old to kill himself
β’Incinerate a school at 10:16 AM on a Tuesday
You can see why we need to base our economy around it
The most annoying thing and it pisses me off so much is when Iβm talking about something and self proclaimed socialists and communists are like Iβve given up I actually donβt think this will happen
why would i care about your opinion on tactics if you think a socialist future is impossible
i yearn for the decadence of a walkable City π

βMass slaughter has become the tiresome and monotonous business of the day and the end is no closer. Bourgeois statecraft is held fast in its own vise. The spirits summoned up can no longer be exorcised.β

Rosa Luxemburg The Accumulation of Capital Section Three The Historical Conditions of Accumulation Chapter 31 Protective Tariffs and Accumulation IMPERIALISM is the political expression of the accumulation of capital in its competitive struggle for what remains still open of the non-capitalist environment. Still the largest part of the world in terms of geography, this remaining field for the expansion of capital is yet insignificant as against the high level of development already attained by the productive forces of capital; witness the
A good read for today. By Rosa Luxembourg.
βBut the more violently, ruthlessly and thoroughly imperialism brings about the decline of non-capitalist civilisations, the more rapidly it cuts the very ground from under the feet of capitalist accumulationβ

whereas in reality only socialism will be the beginning of a rapid, genuine, truly mass forward movement, embracing first the majority and then the whole of the population, in all spheres of public and private life.
But it is important to realize how infinitely mendacious is the ordinary bourgeois conception of socialism as something lifeless, rigid, fixed once and for all,

While this kinda work pays for shit the comradey you can form in extremely low income kitchen/ hospitality jobs is amazing. everyone in tech was fake going through the motions.
This woman was far closer to class consciousness then anyone at any tech job ive had.
Made friends with a housekeeper of the building I Do the Dishes in.
We bonded while both taking out the trash. We were talking about hating the rich exploiters and knowing a better world is possible if we orgnize the resources collectively π

The interpersonal costs have been worse than the professional ones. Two years ago, at my best friendβs baby shower, someone I have known for decadesβsomeone who came to my wedding and my fatherβs funeral, and who has seen me ugly-cry on many occasionsβbristled when I hugged her and later told a mutual acquaintance that I was hurting trans kids. After I published a memoir late last year, another old friend wrote on my Facebook page, βYou and your book are disgusting.β At times, Iβve been tempted to join the rightβespecially because so many conservatives have been kind to me and my own people have been so cruel. But the politicization of gender-nonconforming kids is what has made healthy debate about it so difficult, and my leaving one side for the other would only add to the problem. We need less black-and-white thinking about this complex issue.
It's always the same exact origin story with these people. They get radicalized online and their friends think they're obsessive bigoted freaks. Then they make it everyone's problem that they are disliked and disowned by their own friends.
More than 86,000 women have now signed the Not In Our Name letter to say that trans exclusion is not what we want and should not be done on our behalf.
If youβre a woman who believes in dignity, fairness and standing alongside our trans+ siblings, add your name:

i wind up tweeting this basically every time there's an article like this, but the fundamental thing to me: ask yourself whether you earnestly believe there's more social pressure to be trans, or more social pressure to be cis. it's actually a super easy one!
