I like to think of it as:

It's not about being hopeless, but accepting that you have limits, and doing what you can within them.
Targeting densely populated residential areas and elementary schools are war crimes. The US and Israel know this. Trump and Netanyahu just don't care.
For all the talk of toppling the Iranian regime and freeing Iranians, deliberately killing children isn't a requisite for either. It's indefensible.
