#CrystalList Day 8: Opal!
I was dreading this one a little bit, I had to redo it a few times. Opals are very colorful and feel extremely difficult to represent accurately in pixel. No cut here, just a polished stone.

#CrystalList Day 7: Sunstone!
First row completed! I highly recommend looking up Oregon Sunstones, they're truly beautiful explosions of warm color. Today's cut is a kite cut with a more rounded bottom.

#CrystalList Day 6 : Moonstone!
More natural look this time. I think the raw crystalline form is quite satisfying!
#CrystalList Day 5: Diamond!
In the expected shape, of course. I tried to emulate the most common Round Brilliant cut, but you don't see much of the cut's namesake from this angle.

#CrystalList Day 4 : Emerald!
Square cut this time, I think improvement's already starting to show.

Thank you! Many more to come!
Seeing previously empty spaces get filled is deeply satisfying for some reason. As is the process of doing so!
#CrystalList Day 3, Lapis Lazuli!
Very tricky to express in pixel, I'm glad that I decided to go 64x64 canvases. I went for a type of teardrop-shaped cut since it feels appropriate for lapis.

I'd be happy to see more of it anyway, pixel art or not! I thought your pieces were really cool.
Soon as I saw this monthly prompt, I had to jump in even if I'm starting a little late. I had a brief stint where I was into rocks and minerals as a kid so this is right up my alley. Looking forward to playing with colors and gem cuts!
Here's Day 1 and 2: Amber and Ruby

Today's Lesson: Always make sure to make big alterations and tests in non-destructive ways! Make copies of your art layers before playing with silly new tools and advancing far enough along that CTRL+Z can't save you anymore and fully starting over would be too much. Don't be like Gummy.
#WeeklyPixels Decided to do some animation, it's been a while. It's just a spinning pokeball, couldn't be too hard! Then I got the genius idea to use the Blur tool and discovered it renders in a rather....hm.. Well at least I learned something. Won't be touching that again.

pixel art of pombon, a new orange dog PokΓ©mon
I LOVE HIM SO MUCH. SO. MUCH. #pokemonwindswaves #pombon #pixelart
A #pixelart tribute to my first #pokemon starter. Back in my day, pokemon were all shades of grey! Thank you for staying with me all these years from way back on my little red Gameboy Pocket. (And sorry that you got outshone by an overleveled Nidoking... You were still cool.)

Great effects animation, very impressive!
Thank you so much! I was very pleased with how her pose and design translated. Definitely up there as one of my proudest sprites so far.
Also please forgive me for any image compression issues for these first few uploads, I'm still figuring out what upscaled resolutions to aim for. Though I would be eternally grateful for any tips from more seasoned pixel artists out there. My poor PNGs...
I made an attempt at today's #pixel_dailies prompt: a set of #HouseholdAppliances. Quite tricky at small resolution, but good practice for these tiny canvas sizes.

For starters, a #pixelart showcase of some character sprites I've made of #ff14 OCs, both my own characters and those of my friends! Which one is your favorite?
Hello! Grey Gummy here, thanks for stopping by! I'll be posting new pixel art that I'm proud of as often as possible while carving a path forward as an artist.
