I will always think of creosote as the smell of Arizona.

Welcome to Mexican oregano. It's really different than the Italian. It's fabulous in Mexican food. The pickled onions we make uses Mexican oregano and it makes the dish. Have fun playing!
I like your stuff. I just don't always see it because of the way this timeline works. I'm glad you'll be here and you can post as you like and I'll still be glad you're here.
The bees are super cute! I'll bet it was tasty too.
East Mesa reporting rain smell and dark clouds coming from the east but no drops yet.
Um...yum?
He looks like he has a little mustache ๐
I'm thinking of doing the DIY version of ollas for some raised beds. Do you think they could also be used fairly easily in the yard for bushes? Thank you so much for your help! I have forgotten how much I love the garden center.
This site is fantastic!
Also, have you experimented with ollas at all?
@bajaarizona.bsky.social Can I pick your gardening brain? I went to the garden center and was looking at artichoke agave. Are there good companion plants (same watering/sun needs) that are less structured? I need plants that are drought tolerant because my water system breaks always breaks in summer
As an Arizonan, this is one of the only things we can brag about. I have never had to change my clock, nor concern myself with springing forward or falling backward. It would be really nice if y'all can stop moving meeting times around and just pick something...anything...and stick with it, please.
As a lifetime member of Arizona, it's the one of the only things I can brag about. I have never ever changed my clocks. It's glorious! Now, if I can just get the rest of you to stop moving your meeting times around...
What a lovely tribute to Sweet Pea! I've enjoyed getting to know and watch (however briefly) both Charlotte and Sweet Pea. Watching dogs live is just the best because they don't hold back (both good and bad) and sometimes humans need a reminder. Thank you for sharing your girls with us.
It really was such a nice surprise
That's a lovely piece!
I wouldn't go that far, but having a student come back to tell you about his life and let you know you made enough of a difference to be remembered is amazing. Definitely canceled out a bunch of annoying work stuff!
Baby Apollo was a cutie and much too dignified for any of that silly bath stuff. I can see his shark teeth, lol.
He still knew me by my maiden name. So, he's from my first or second year of teaching. I was a wide-eyed idealistic baby teacher then. It was such a fun surprise!!
Absolutely!
I plan to hang on to this for a while.
Especially when I got to hear all about his kids and see pictures. Nothing better!
There is no talking to me! I had a former student visit today and tell me I was his favorite. I'm going to ride this high as long as I possibly can.
I love the backing fabric! It's a beautiful quilt and a wonderful gift.
Anyone else feeling like their executive function just up and left slamming the door with the parting shot of "I refuse to work under these conditions anymore!!"?
I am so very sorry. Everything I want to say feels trite. I'll be thinking of you and sending you love, and I'll be thinking of her with fondness and gratitude.
I have not seen the original series, so I don't have anything to compare it to, but I enjoyed the new one.
I'll bet you did make difference, just by explaining the why behind the rules. Kids are empathetic and want to do right when given the chance with dignity. You did well with not shaming and giving them agency to choose the right answer.
She had her first day back in the therapy pool today. She did well but is definitely out of shape. It was nice to go to the vet for something fun rather than an emergency.
We're expecting more mid 90ยฐs through the end of the weekend. I may have to turn the AC on in February. FEBRUARY!!
