An assembled model of a Warhammer 30k Horus Heresy Basilisk for the Solar Auxilia.

The engineering of this WH30k Basilisk model, was incredible. An absolute blast to assemble.

There were several areas that formed a 45° joint, like the trim around a door in your house.

It was very satisfying to build. Resisting the urge to get another.

Nope. I use paper towel. You want it to soak up those splotches while leaving it in the creases. Remember, its just a middle step. There will still be some areas that look too heavy. The drybrush will help further to bring back that luster all over.

Yes. Because of the Lacquer coat, it should stick very well. Which makes it settle in the creases a little more. You can then take a paper towel or a makeup sponge and wipe off the larger panels and splotchyness. That could help. Then let it dry for a good 24hrs or so before moving to the drybrush!

What he said, but you can use whatever sepia wash you want. Citadel, Vallejo, army painter, etc. Doesnt have to be vallejo.

Played a game recently. 2k pts vs my buddys Heirophant. Managed to drop it in 2 turns of dark lances focusing on it, but it hit like a truck, lol. Hormagaunts ATE a full unit of Incubi, and then Lelith ate the hormagaunts herself. MVP is Lelith as always, lol.
