Heading to see this one next week & as always, really looking forward to it. MSK Gent is such an excellent gallery.

Very positive news from Middelkerke: a second bar coming soon from Den Toogoloog. If itโs anywhere near as good as the original itโll be great.

Thick fog with some lights illuminated below.
Brugge Belfort, 9.49pm this evening ๐

I really need to do a side by side, bottle vs draft, & will do so when Dries has it on draft. Should be quite soon ๐
I was too polite to mention said fact ๐คฃ
Wow, that's a LOT of mud ๐
Good to see they've sorted the pricing of thirds/halves out. I seem to recall they'd hefty mark ups when they opened.
That's a really good list.
Quite the turnaround after all your snow!
@eoghanwalshbxl.bsky.social might have some tips.
Two glasses of amber coloured beer on a wooden table in a Brugge beer cafe.
First tasting of 2026 Boskeun on draft - at Bernie's, on 't Zand, Brugge. A little sweeter than the bone dry bottled version we tried last night, but further research on this important matter is clearly required...
Update: we'll be at BB for a couple of hours tomorrow pm. Might not make it by 4 but should definitely be there by 5. Hope the timings work so we see you!
The Kulminator in Antwerp works on a similar basis, though obviously for entirely different reasons. Doorbell must be rung, then interview with Dirk successfully negotiated before entry is (or is not) granted.

No. But she doesn't drink in BB anymore.
Yea & you won't have seen her in that seat since October 2024....
Love those photos ๐
I know at least 3 people in that photo. One of them I was talking to earlier tonight- Thomas, then barman, now punter. Lovely chap, great pub!

A glass (L) & bottle (R) of an amber beer on a wooden table in a brown cafe.
My first tasting of 2026 De Dolle Brouwers' Boskeun. Absolutely fantastic, really dry & hitting all the classic notes which make this beer great. They've totally nailed this vintage, can't wait to try it on draft.
Fab. Heading to Booze n Blues later perhaps?
A canal with buildings either side, reflected in the water. The sky is clear blue. There are also some trees to the left & right.
Beautiful evening light over Langerei, Brugge, 5.19pm today.
I always enjoy a visit & your post reminds me its been a while...
It's such a great walk, that one. And the light has been absolutely beautiful, hasn't it? Hope it lasts...
Good description! Cheers
Good work!
A tree-lined canal with an almost totally clear blue sky above. The low, early spring sun is shining brightly through the trees. All the above is reflected in the water.
After yesterday morning's fog, today it's more beautiful sunshine. This was the scene on the Damse-Vaart canal, c.1km north of Brugge, 8.23am.
Lovely sky!
