We got into quite the mix of DCC events for Gen Con this year. Weird Frontiers, Superheroes, Umerica, XCrawl, and Dying Earth, but not a single βvanillaβ DCC game. π
The bioluminescent petunias are coming in beautifully! Glowing fungi and flowering plants diverged about a billion years ago, but their genes come together today in a lab for a nice display.
DCC Dying Earth game is going great, I think. Our heroes spent the evening hunting a visp, and after a mannequin, a grue, and three erbs that were all mistaken for visps, they finally found one!
I just kicked off a campaign with this adventure and then The Laughing Idol. Despite the partyβs pretensions of innocuity, the trail of destruction being left in their wake would make Cugel blush. Iβm loving it.
They look ready to make Mordor great again.
@direwolfdigital.bsky.social After probably 10+ games of 6-player Dune:Imperium-Uprising, I wanted some 3-dimensional agents to replace the chits used by players 5 and 6. So, hereβs my βactivate leftβ, βactivate rightβ, and swordmaster for both leader factions.
For any fans of skirmish wargaming in the grim dark world of Smurfs.

A typical ending to 6-player Dune Imperium: Uprising (+Bloodlines).
This is a huge chunk of the cancer research (and other biological research) that takes place in this country.
All NIH study sections canceled indefinitely. This will halt science and devastate research budgets in universities.
