βYou know what, Iβd never want to clean up a murder scene.β
J went to throw out the used coffee grounds and accidentally Jackson Pollocked the kitchen π¬
Although this also overlaps into the βpeople need everything literally spelled out for themβ problem we keep witnessing with media literacy, too.
There are no wardrobes in the video so they cannot conceive of the concept of adding wardrobes, etc.
Because Iβm back looking at videosβ¦ the comments on stuff like this drive me up the damn wall. I have to assume half the people commenting learned about tiny homes five minutes ago π
Itβs an absolute mansion of a tiny home, and yetβ¦ www.instagram.com/reel/DTkPL-T...
A real reversal of the usual order of things π
Thereβs a lot of Australia thatβs got the same sort of rugged individualism-ness of likeβ¦ Montana. People living in unsanctioned shacks on vast swaths of land and no one bothers them.
But like, it burns down in a bushfire and then youβre SOL if you couldnβt get insurance because it wasnβt permitted
@sylk.bsky.social I really love Shayeβs designs! (Also on YT, website) www.instagram.com/shayes_tiny_...
We would never abandon them! So weβll stay until they live out their lives.
If anything Iβm glad we have them so we donβt do anything rash π
Though itβll take ~4 years for me to get PR anyway so we always had to wait.
We have very expansive hobbies, but weβve realised that we could save a lot of money by living almost-tiny and then just having a really big workshop type thing to house them and a good amount of outdoor space to stretch out in.
The 5 to 7 years is based on our expected rabbit lifespan π
Itβs impossible to the bring them. Cats have 10 day quarantine.
Australia and also NZ!! Iβve since learned a lot of the ones in Aus are living under the radar thoughβ¦ while the councils rarely go after them, Iβd just never want something I couldnβt insure.
In NZ they seem to allow slightly wider loads, which makes for amazing designs.
It is known π
So then I was like WAIT.
Very small, rather than tiny house, but make it custom π
You can be in the max square meterage price bracket and it still is effectively cheap cause itβs small! π‘
But when I was looking into THOSE I realised that the price per square metre was actually higher than a custom built house, even though it sounded low cause the size was so small.
Iβve always been a passive consumer of tiny house content, but Iβve never lived somewhere with a climate where it felt like it made sense.
It turns out it doesnβt make much sense in Australia anyway because planning is quite hostile towards them so then I turned to container homesβ¦
(Tbf I also just really like floor plans)
me: it doesnβt make sense for us to move to Tasmania for at least 5 to 7 years, so no point working out the details just yet
also me: ok so Iβve sketched out a detailed floor plan for a custom passive solar house and this is the local builder I want to use
His other gaming chair is also taken.
J pulled out his chair from under the desk and found a surprise...
βNope, sorry, occupied.β
Hi, I have diagnosed c-PTSD and this is true and if you suck at tetris, any bright coloured fast game requiring rapid eye movement and decision making will do! it also helps if you witness something triggering and are trying to stave off an episode
The truth is not the average of a fact and a lie.
Came out of hibernation today to check out the spring flowers at Culzean Castle.
NEW: A hobbyist has created Nearby Glasses, an app that warns you if someone close by is wearing smart glasses. 404 Media spoke to the creator who said he was inspired by our coverage that uncovers how men are wearing Meta's Ray-Bans to covertly film massage parlor workers.

I know this is like, βeww squickβ it wouldnβt hurt me, but this basically bans the first episode of Game of Thrones, a significant amount of Greek mythology, and every open fanfiction website on the planet. And I wouldnβt trust an authoritarian govt with βnuanceβ about what is art and what is porn.
(Itβs where all the hot water pipes for the radiators come out of the kitchen π)
Thereβs like two dozen soft places to sleep in this flat, so naturally THIS is his favourite spotβ¦
Just a reminder that you don't HAVE to turn into a spineless bootlicker the minute you put on hockey pads.
Ripley was going for twice-monthly vet visits for six months after we first got Darwin, so I wasnβt expecting this reaction π
Luckily all he needed was distracting with a toy and then he forgot what he was mad at.
Took Ripley to the vet for one (1) hour and Darwin has forgotten who he is π
Guess Ripley took their shared brain cell with him.
