You don’t need Magik, but she gives you SO much more wiggle room.

You *could* squeeze in Astral Projection to give even more wiggle room (Ironheart + Astral on T6).

Pretty straightforward but cool way to use Supergiant.

D99 has been redeemed in my eyes. I used to think it was a mindless deck, but this felt full of meaningful decisions.

Phone died mid-match. Mad scramble across the house. Launched Snap on iPad. It was taking ITS SWEET-ASS TIME, so logged into Mac. Kiddo had just stopped Minecraft (phew). Even with a sizable head start, the iPad lost. Shameful.

You can also afford Xorn on 7, but that gives Cham a 50-50 to copy Isca.

Depending on two Iscas is dangerous because she stops doubling on ties. It’s actually wild how many games I’ve lost to Isca ties. 😭

And they’d keep going up to 3,072 Power each!

You’re right, ESB is better for casual players to learn a new keyword. Sure that’s also why 3 of this month’s Objective cards are just stat sticks.

The very next Season Pass card is also a simple objective, but with a strong, interesting, and predictable result!

I think the created cards thing is mostly demanding enough that you need more ways to generate power or copies of Gambit.

Not a Real Deck, but it does play nice with the Utopia hot location!

I think Goose is probably better than Uatu, but I was sick of bad locations ruining a combo.

I agree! Part of the awkwardness is the timing. I think it’s generally weaker the later you do it (but don’t do it too early!).

8. En Sabah Nur gives no guarantee he’ll upgrade the card he swaps. There are many better ways to deal with Hood or Void.

9. I don’t think Juggernaut is big enough to justify not contributing to early prio or otherwise helping your engine.

6. Caliban is the best of three Objective stat sticks (WHY?!). He doesn’t have the best rate of the three, but I think he has the clearest home (Doom 2099).

7. Selene gets big, but I worry that 4 Energy is too much opportunity cost for the decks she synergizes with.

5. Opposite of Gambit, I think people are severely underrating Rama-Tut because of his randomness. Extremely silly if you can get this going on Wong (12 On Reveals, or 48 with Mystique, too)!

3. Ozymandias will be in every Rocks deck. With 4 Rocks he’s a 5/21.

4. Gambit’s effect is strong, but his quest is awkward with everything not named Mysterio. Will be stupid if you make copies. “Play” seems strict.

1. Isca solos lanes. She’s fine on her own, but EXCELLENT with Invisible Woman First Steps.

2. Sandstorm gives you Demons that play nice with Victoria Hand. Rocks archetype likes it, too (and I think it’ll be pretty good).
