But I'm becoming increasingly aware that this kind of civil, respectful coexistence is giving way to a troubling, growing line of thinking I see in the world - and, more and more, in horror: "If you disagree with me, something is up." It's not even "you're wrong"; it's "you're only pretending to have a different opinion than mine, which is the correct opinion."
