The latest of our Practical Theology collab articles is out now! This one is by the awesome @karenod.bsky.social so you know you need to read it. It's genuinely fabulous and also outlines a bit of how the FTN came to be, a tweet from a sun lounger and here we are:

BOOK ANNOUNCEMENTS! π¨π
Cover, pre-ordering, and a video!
Iβm really excited to announce a few things to do with my edited volume βFor Nothing is Hidden: Masculinities and Trauma in Church and Theologyβ being released with SCM Press in June 2026! Read on...
I wrote a book! (Yes, this often happens to me.) And yes, it's the pink stripe in the rainbow flag when you stack them right. It's out Tuesday and I start doing events on Monday with the most amazing people. List here and more below: www.rebeccasolnit.net/events1.html
Iβve seen an influx of new followers. I will randomly select three winners from those who have followed me on socials or subscribed on Substack since last Wed through this Wed, in a drawing for a signed paperback copy of Disobedient Women.
If you need it, my Substack is sarahstankorb.substack.com.
Vast evangelical networks claim this Bible verse exempt women from preaching & leading in the church. For the many who say, "it's biblical",...."from Genesis to Revelation, women were anything but silent!"- Mimi Haddad, President of Christians for Biblical Equality
Whoop whoopππAnother FTN member has been published as part of our collab with the Practical Theology Hub.

Our upcoming events calendar with four green arrows pointing to the entry for 11th Feb 7pm GMT. Text outline reads Lisa Allen-McLaurin will be speaking about "Womanist Liturgical Theology: Liberating the Church from Death-Dealing Worship"
We have a February extra for you, just because we got enthusiastic... See you on Wednesday! If you aren't on our mailing list, see feministtheologynetwork.org for details.
Inspired by @revdphilippa.bsky.social my first book finished this year is God didnβt make us to Hate us by Rev Lizzie McManus-Dail. Read with the @feministtheology.bsky.social book group from Advent to Candlemas. Excellent inclusive bite sized Bible reflections and reworkings of prayers.
Thank you to the wonderful McManus-Dail for this evening. The excitement was justified π
Rev Lizzie McManus-Dail. "God Didn't Make Us to Hate Us". February 3rd 7pm GMT
It's tomorrow!!!!! Not that everyone who has been reading the book over advent is excited or anything...
The link photo is a black rectangle, landscape. On the right, in profile, is a black and white image of a young woman from the shoulders up. She has pale skin and has a finger raised to her mouth, suggesting the need for silence.
A little while ago we announced a joint project with Practical Theology Hub. The first article has been released into the wild!

So there is no FTN advent calendar this year because we are doing an advent read instead - the reading plan begins on Sunday for "God Didn't Make Us to Hate Us".
It got me thinking - let's promote our members new/recently published work during the next month especially.
Need you to send it first!
Book cover for Cultural Stations of Disability: A Moment in Discourse, edited by David Bolt. The book has a wide purple stripe across the bottom, with the text overlaid in white. The top section of the book is black with a splattered pattern breaking up the black. Inside the splatter are random blue marks on fuzzy light red lined paper. The background is brown/kraft cardboard.
A snapshot of chapter 8. Entitled A New Testament - Changing Positionality,Changing Interpretation. Emma Swai.
So it "finally" arrived through my door. I am actually really proud of this chapter, purely because I wanted to open up on the fact that experience changes exegetes (even if we like to pretend it doesn't).
Thank you @davidbolt13.bsky.social for giving me a soap box to stand on!
Join us for this advent study. I read Rev. Lizzie's devotionals during Lent. They're beautifully liberating π₯°
I have often seen masculinity, conventional version, as a constant renunciation, in return for corrosive power. All the things you're not allowed to like, enjoy, do, say, wear, but (metaphorically speaking) this straitjacket comes with a gun.
IT'S TOMORROW!!!!! Ok, so I know I shouted, but it's going to be so awesome that I thought you'd want me to get your attention...
Look up the FTN Book Group chat on our WhatsApp Community page and request to join.
If you are not a member of FTN and want to be, use the QR code to access the link.
Feminist Theology Network flyer. Black background with white letters. Join us for an advent book group. Reading begins 30th November. Online/WhatsApp discussion - fits in when you have the time. Central picture is a cartoon-like candle graphic. Book cover is Rev Lizzie McManus-Dail's God Didn't Make Us to Hate Us. QR code to join Feminist Theology Network on the bottom right.
FTN advent reading group! Asynchronous, i.e. whenever in the day/week you like, so we can join together over different time zones without me messing up the clock... Totally shouting out to our members across the various oceans π
Iβm honoured to be a guest on the fantastic Dr Selina Stoneβs #podcast βSunday School for Misfitsβ this week. This season of the podcast is on power, and we had a lot to talk about when it comes to #disability, #neurodivergence and power in churches and #theology.

Poster for Feminist Theology Network online event. Birth in the Time of Death: Black Madonnas and the Initiation of Possibility. Dr Amey Victoria Adkins-Jones. Wed 19th Nov 7pm GMT.
