Made a bit of fan art for one of my favourite books Ive read in 2026 so far!
The deliciously twisted brains of the Japanese horror scene helped us really nail down the illustrations in World of Horror: The Board Game including the talents of Shintaro Kago, Taro Kanafuro, Miyako Cojima, Noroi Michiru and illustrator @izmaus.bsky.social

I haven't really played around much in this genre but I was a massive fan of the NextFest demo for it so im excited to dig into the full thing!

The most common response to me telling other artists I quit social media has been 'I wish I was in a place where I can do that' but honestly I *absolutely* am not in that place myself and I have noticed no downsides in skipping it so far.
It has been incredibly freeing to leave it all behind
Im coming up on being freelance for a year now and its been a scary old rollercoaster, with some cool projects im excited to talk about but I realised I havent really made any digital art due to all the bleddy chasing ive been doing so im gonna try and rectify that a bit soon too. Heres a WIP!
Ive been enjoying being absent from social media that I didnt even end up posting through Buffer as planned AND ITS BEEN BLISS.
Ive been putting the time away into reading (5 novels down in 2026 already) and filling sketchbooks, and using mobile Pintrest for any phantom scrolling urges

Honestly, I definitely struggle with being addicted to my phone! I'm very much an all or nothing kind of guy so this seems idea for me to keep me focused and on track haha!

I remember there used to be third party apps that let you post out to social media without having to get lost in reading it. If that still exists I'd love to know as that would be ideal!
