The Drama League of New York is deeply saddened to share the news that our friend and colleague, Associate Artistic Director Nilan, passed away on January 4, 2026. His impact on thousands of artists and audiences through his plays, productions, and performances is incalculable.

Just back from #InternationalDirectorsSummit 2025, presented by The Drama League and ACTFest in Sofia, Bulgaria. We are heartbroken by the passing of Mark Brokaw, a cherished Drama League Alum (1986), mentor and Board Member. His artistic brilliance shaped countless productions and inspired generations of artists. We are profoundly grateful to him and mourn the loss of a guiding light in our community.
