I got a crossword-a-day calendar for my partner and me this year - a non-device, easy activity we can do each day. We are starting the eighth full week of the year, and we’re *only* a week behind? Finished last Friday and couldn’t face the Saturday/Sunday. I’m skipping to Monday.

My office is in the Blair Arcade, and while I was working from home today, I just keep thinking about how often I jaywalk across that street to pick up lunch and how easily I would have been hit by those speeding cars.

Anyways, I’m the delegate. Chuffed that my speech was decent enough.

My caucus had 4 people interested in being our 1 delegate or 1 alternate for Hennepin County. We each made a short speech. Two took themselves out of consideration and the third said he would be happy being the alternate. The relief of our chair that it resolved itself was adorably dramatic.

Putting together an annual report and preparing a summer Shakespeare show announcement is really weird right now.

I ordered a bunch of toys and treats from Chewy when leaving town for my cat sitters to open. They didn’t, so I now get to enjoy the unboxing. In true cat fashion, the box is a feature.

I’ll be there, and I’m working on getting some others in my sphere to go, too.

The snowglobe snow is so pretty that it's an immediate mood booster.

I had a theater company meeting and then shared a meal with my mother and aunt, and I can feel the release of tension - it was good to spend time with good company to replenish my reserves. Art and laughter are restorative, and I hope you’re able to find some, too.
