Oh shit

The bushwhack was a “shortcut” but there was an abandoned forest road I could’ve taken too, and considered it as a bailout. Road however was the second pic. Totally colonized by slide alder!

The way up was the real story though! First time bushwhacking out here and man cross country travel was tough. No trail, slide alders, sloppy snow. The trees claimed my sunglasses as tribute somewhere in the way down. Definitely learned a lot about what traveling in this terrain is like!

I’m 31 now! To say it is has been a crazy year would be underselling it by a lot. I haven’t had a longer one in quite some time. But between a new place in Seattle, lots of friends, family, and finally getting a new job, I got a lot of reasons to be hopeful for this next one!
