Love both of those games. Dominant Species can definitely be chaotic and destructive. Lol. Faraway is a brain burner but short. Thatβs why I like it.

Thatβs a shame as I really enjoyed Hegemony. Is it much different? I thought it was going to be shorter as Hegemony with new players has been a pretty long game.
Great game. I still prefer The Crew as I found it more challenging as a group. Thematically this one is very cool and the missions are different than The Crew. I think the idea of co-op trick taking games is great. I had a couple buddies that werenβt feeling it though.
Galactic Cruise just flows so well. Itβs definitely going to be one of top games of 2025. Itβs Lacerda like without the things I didnβt like about Inventions and Weather Machine.
My problem with the game also is the amount of time it takes to set up a scenario. To me the game isnβt 4X at all. I think itβs good, but you donβt actually attack other players all that much from my experience playing the game. Iβve only played it 3 times.
I like Faraway a lot. Itβs a nice brain burner for a filler game. Iβll mention to pay attention to scoring because we messed it up the first time we played. You play the cards left to right but score at the end from right to left.
Lol. Yeah I agree. To be honest when I saw it on the hot list on BGG I thought it was a whole new game. Not sure why they rebranded the game like this. My buddy thinks it looks like a generic rip off if someone wanted to copy the game.
I like it a lot. Itβs quick and snappy while also having a lot of choices available on how to win. I personally like it better than 7 Wonders Duel.
Oh itβs a passive strategy where you a fleet of waitresses making you money but it is totally dependent on other players keeping each other in check in the board. Itβs a hard way to win. If you go to the forums on BGG they write about all the different strategies in the game.
Food Chain Magnate is a great game. I like Splotter games a lot, but this one in particular is really punishing if youβre a new player playing with experienced ones. Iβm still trying to win a game with the waitress strategy. Maybe once in my life time. Lol.
Lol. John Company can be long or short depending on the group you play with and whether or not someone wants to be the chaos agent and tank the company.
I can name The Crew, Scout, The Gang, Sea Salt & Paper, 6 Nimmit, and Cat In The Box(I think) but thatβs because I like a lot of those games.
