Hudspeth asks about food trucks, staff says there has been no changes. Future food truck regulations were delayed due to waiting for state leg to finish.
the businesses downtown support the rezoning.
beck is what is the mechanism the protects the future nonconforming buildings. It is in the ordinance. Councilman Joe asks about the people against the rezoning, it was mainly due to the wording of the letters sent that the state requires.
this would make the zoning more flexible and make infill easier to develop because it allows smaller lots and gets rid of parking minimums.
they are rezoning to help redevelopment, that is now possible that flood plain has removed.
now on the public hearings, the first item up is to rezone mixed use neighborhood to mixed use downtown.

the crossing guards moved hen the schools moved.
Councilwoman Suzi Rumohr says that wants staff to look into city crossing guards, and temporary infrastructure. Hensley says that the city doesn't currently have the resources.
Lauren Penn is here because she is worried about the safety of her children getting to school at Newton Rayzor and Calhoun. the lack of crossing guards and sufficient infrastructure are the main issues. Lauren is asking for quicker interventions, like day lighting and painted bike lanes.

Jeff Schicke is here on the behalf of the ARC of Denton County thearc.org/chapter/the-.... Jeff is explaining what ARC does. He is seeking funding to continuing the events of the charity. They work on empowering those with disabilities to advocate for themselves.
I am not a fast typest and I am struggling to keep up with. Mike suggest that commercial property gets priory, the Mayor asks for grace because there are many moving parts to deal with.
the City Manager Sara Hensley said that the project was split and had 3rd party auditors. Mike says the project could have been done in weeks the Mayor pushes back and says that the logistics don't lineup with reality.
Mike says his business is fine but he worries about his neighbors. He wants the city to help the sunset businesses recover.
Mike has said he contact the Mayor Hudspeth and the contractor. Councilwoman Jester has said that there was an audit of streets and people were fired.
the owner of county road burger company Mike Barnett is here about the construction on sunset road which has cause financial hardship due the construction. He says that construction has taken far too long. he says he hasn't seen any one from the city monitoring the construction.
they are also asking for full reimbursement for the losses incurred due to the flooding
The neighbors want a stop work order due drainage. They propose a 10ft board on board fence on board fence to deal with privacy and light issues
there is also a really annoying buzzing noise coming from somewhere will have to talk to some about this it will make it difficult to listen to in future.
