I think this is why Lady is so interesting to me as an antagonist bc she clearly does not the same for her children. Or anyone. Which is why she has such high standards and distances herself from others when she feels emotional. But the result is a sort of... anyway like how she changes too

You look closer at Lady and you realize she's so good at her job bc she always had the role of mother pushed onto her. She had to sense what the hiero users were doing around her at a young age. Lady was conditioned into this.

I was going to make a joke about how all the magic (Hiero) observers in Mage- basically those who can sense and emotions- are the worst people ever.

And I realized its bc they exhibit "mind reading" they aren't therapists like i initially planned them to be 😭 they're high alert and volatile OUGH

Most of my process for comics is like.

- I have an idea.

- I go on a canvas and draw a BUNCH of thumbnails on separated layers; they are just any expression or idea I had at all

- i move around the thumbnails to see if I can see a plot thread.

- the canvas has 100 layer all of a sudden
