Completely agree.

Whilst a 'thing' called an EHCP is going to exist, it would appear that the intention is to change it considerably. Notably, the white paper gave no clarity as to what the 'new' EHCP contains, nor how it will be prepared.

SEND Is Not Broken. Its Funding Is The Government has announced a bail out for around 90% of local authority SEND over spend. This is currently estimated to be around £6.

LAs are now being bailed out to the tune of around £6bn

How did we get here, and what can be done to stop it happening again?

Parents seeking 'specialist' provision aren't against inclusivity. The young people just need the level of support. A few hundred quid on training is wholly insufficient.

There is not an escalation of pupils with #asd or #adhd or any other condition
We, as a society, have simply become far better at recognising when people need help.
It baffles me that the #send discussion has been so much about why there's more kids with #sen.

I iive in Cornwall and we have a 21 year old son with Prader Willi Syndrome. He got his EHCP at 3 and it was created efficiently and in a timely manner. I now find that only 1.6% of EHCPs in Cornwall are written within the 20 week deadline. I'm stunned and frankly disgusted
