Kanopy's subtitles were a bit fucked up on this one, with one scene in French and another not subtitled at all.
I guess I'll have to rewatch in the near future. This fully deserves more attention than I was able to give it tonight even without those tech issues.

It's such a specific kind of rainy-day sci-fi flick that's got a strong solo performance (plus supporting ones on the phone) and has so much to chew on with its ideas and events.
I really dug it, especially with how clearly it's a low-budget pandemic production.

I don't normally go for comedy but man, thus movie knows how to have fun and is generally pretty good-natured with it. Delightfully silly and unserious, with lots of great one-off gags.
Best of all, the DVD has a blooper reel. I miss having those!

I've always been fascinated by these Brutalist war memorials in the former Yugoslavia. They're featured heavily in Jóhann Jóhannsson's 2020 film, Last and First Men which is based on the Olaf Stapledon novel.

Early in my copyright career I had a complex, nuanced take on the ethics of piracy. Now I'm like, fuck it, pirate copies are perhaps the main way any copies of corporate-owned media (esp tv/movies) are gonna persist through unrestrained corporate looting, have at it.

She's still not super interested in food, but she'll eat a bit and has been drinking water. Mostly interested in snoozing. I think of when I had a stomach bug and how little I wanted to do for a couple days so trying hard not to worry myself.
