Oh no!! I saw someone mention this over on That Place and I had to come let you know that youβve got moots grumpy on your behalf over there. Sorry this happened and hope it gets sorted out!

A deliciously unserious picture book by Deidre J Owen: The Sandwich Cuts Book. Hardcover available at Barnes and Noble, BN.com.
Okay, I have done something profoundly silly and I love it. I have put together a book about...
sandwiches.
Or, more specifically, all the ways I like to CUT my sandwiches. Looking for something unserious and benign this holiday season? This may be just the thing!

New Release: The Sandwich CutsΒ Books
Looking for something a little something different? You might enjoy my latest release from Mannison Press! One of our favorite things to do as a family is finding little ways to entertain each other. Strange ways. Eccentric. We make up words. I buy weirdβ¦
Me with my new weird little book that will be out soon, The Sandwich Cuts Book about how I cut my sandwiches.
Included is a pic of my tweet on Twitter/X that started my journey to Sandwich cuts.
I got book mail!
From the Daily Turkic: Archaeologists in TΓΌrkiye believe they have discovered the tomb of Saint Nicholas, famously known as Santa Claus. Pictured is a women down in a hole with a long stick examining an ancient, heavy looking sarcophagus of sorts. The measuring stick is white with red bands. Deidre J Owen: And, with a straight face, measured the tomb with a candy cane.

Itβs so annoying that Amazon continues to allow returns on ebook purchases π Readers: do NOT do this. It hurts authors and makes US reimburse you from our royalties.
Amazon isnβt a library. If you want to return a book after reading, help indies out by recommending their books at your libraries.
Baby girl you have the most mysterious leg bruises I have ever seen
*blushes* what, these old things?
I have exactly 2 types of sneezes:
A. βKHAHH!!!β β deeply alarming; startles you and all your ancestors
B. βshoee-shoee-shoee-shoee-shoeeβ β stifles the explosion but distracts you anyway with its comical execution
Jetsons ftw π π
I always had a thing for lydian.
I think we're going to see a HUGE proliferation of #horror over the next four years. We will need the catharsis, and of all sorts: splatterpunk, weird, cosmic/eldritch, folk/cult, Gothic, and bubblegum, to name a few. Horror contains multitudes. Horror can heal. Horror lets us know we aren't alone.
π We are silly people.
Christmas pillows on my couch. A red one with deer antlers reads βMerry Christmas.β An ivory one with red snowflakes reads βMonsβ and something intelligible. Itβs upside down: βlet it snow.β
Mons what?
Anybody else play the Santa hat on the TV game?
Sleeping dog: *makes weird sound*
Me, eyeing said dog suspiciously: Which end was that?

Wise to try to get through the holiday week! Hope you find the right tv.
Every year on Black Friday, my hubby and I fondly remember the year we forgot what day it was and accidentally went shopping.
Good times.
Excellent pushback from the community.

That sounds like a nice, varied cycle! You get to appreciate all the seasons. Iβm in Florida where we have (from Jan):
Chilly for a minute, Winter Week, Refreshing, Abruptly Hot, Hotter, Too Hot, Still Hot, Hotumn, Warm
I adore the orange one! I might make another small one in those same fabrics.
Off work late? Hungry, but too tired to cook? Try eating a sleeve of saltines! You certainly will not regret eating sleeve of saltines.
Try it with a smear of mayo! Good comfort food.
