Watched a video of someone's Satisfactory cosplay build yesterday, which led me to wonder if I should finally check that game out (Nathan's answer: YES)

Bonus points for using Lithos for all the typesetting outside of the heading!
Hell yeah, co-signed on this one. Best soundtrack on the machine, and a banger game concept with a bunch of fun modes.
MISCHIEF MAKERS BABY
Even then the conspiracy theories will be instant and many.
Yeah, man, I really enjoyed that game, but the music was something else.
Hey man, I'm up for diving back into Titanfall 2 - I occasionally think about that game (and its predecessor) and how good that shit was.
The idea has been in my brain for a while now, but I sat down this afternoon to finally get it out. A couple of hours work that I'm quite happy with! π
Released a small #C64 demo dubbed "Wobble" and that's all it does: wobble. Big thx to Flotsam for making a neat and wobbly track for it.
Enjoy.

Silhouette of Batman from Batman: The Animated Series
Were 90s kids clamoring for a Batman cartoon with 1930s Art Deco aesthetics? Is that what the market demanded? Or did some really smart creative people have a vision and make a genre-defining hit that sustained 20 years of TV shows? If you want success look for vision, not just metrics.
(Happy New Year, everyone. Let's see if 2026 brings some better vibes, because 2025 sure wasn't it.)
Until recently, I'd been off social media for quite a while; that doesn't mean I wasn't toiling away on #PETSCII ideas in the background the whole time.

New article time!
The Amiga family of computers have just turned 40 - and are still deeply misunderstood and underappreciated. So let's use this anniversary to look at Sword of Sodan, a game that is perhaps the epitome of this sad phenomenon:

Oh, dude. It's incredible of-the-era scholcky action goodness. Plus that theme song rules.
Dude, I am suuuuper paranoid about doing that every time I fill up. You're living my nightmare rn.
I am delighted to announce that I've 3D scanned the complete Super Mario Land keshi figure series, originally released by Bandai in Japan in 1989!
All 21 of these vintage Mario toys--from Daisy to Tatanga, and everyone in between--can now be downloaded here:

A 2D first person dungeon crawler, made in 3 days for the Ludum Dare game jam. Isn't it funny that we used to call these "3D" games? It's not even billboards, it's sprites. #indiedev

NEW VIDEO TIME!
With its 30th anniversary happening a few weeks back, it made it the right time to dive into Air Combat on PlayStation, the first in what'd become the Ace Combat home series.
But how's it stack up from someone coming it from those later games?
