And we're here for it! ๐ฅณ๐ฅ

She/her. Swedish nerd and mother who loves intelligent, funny and fantastic stories. Mainly here to hang with fellow Good Omens- lovers.๐๐ I believe in kindness and humor and the power of connecting with other people. ๐ณ๏ธโ๐
Why oh why did I stumble upon this post on a day when Ao3 has been down for att least 12 hours? ๐คฌ๐คช Thanks for the stunning visual, Gleafer, now I will have NO hope of actually accomplishing any work today. ๐
Blocked so I don't have to waste even a minute scrolling past that nonsense. How about using all that energy to do something useful instead of slandering people who are pouring their soul (and a lot of their own money) into actually trying to make this world a better place! ๐
This! When pregnant my sense of small sharpened. I could smell what someone had eaten from across the room, couldn't stand to be in the same room as someone who had been smoking, etc. Totally understandable that pregnancy needs better smell as protection, but why not always if the capacity is there?
NOW you're talking! We need to feed it the entirety of Good Omens AO3 on a loop and then show it the final 15 and tell it that is how it all ended. That'll do it in, I believe. ๐๐
I have yet to come across any Good Omens AI slop, but if I did I would be so angry. We have so many wonderful human artists sharing their work, and then we know is fantasy, their vision. But manufacturing images using the actors real faces, the costumes, the set is a lack of respect and forgery.๐คฌ
Exactly. But as far as I understand, generative AI operates with probability of one word following another in a certain context, so it recognizes patterns in behavior and texts rather than having actual human-like intelligence. It mimics the things it sees- which is why it's sometimes radicalised.
Actually, someone tried that in an experiment and told the AI that it was to be shut down, while giving AI access to fake emails where it was clear thatthe computer engineer was having an affair. AI downloaded itself to a backup server and tried blackmailing the engineer to keep it alive...๐ฑ
What lovely article!๐โค๏ธ๐

VERY excited to see what you've come up with! ๐ฅฐ I don't think I've ever seen so much clever and fun references crammed into an intro sequence before. I normally just watch the intro of a show a few times before I fast forward, but this is something else! It's art within the art.๐๐ฅ
Wow!๐ Quite the opposite, actually! I don't have the time or the patience for crafting at all, but by sharing your work you let me and others live vicariously through your journey. It's very inspiring and lots of fun to tag along, and I'm learning so much along the way. ๐ฅฐ
Sooo good- funny, sweet and hot! ๐ฅ ๐ฅฐ
But knowing that Rob Wilkins, Rihanna and of course Michael AziraSheen are involved makes me hope for that ending they really deserve. โค๏ธ
I would lose my mind if that happens. I've read about their first kiss and other firsts so many times that it almost feels like I've already seen it.But as much as I'd love a proper kiss I know He who shan't be named wanted to keep things ambiguous to be inclusive and don't shut any doors...
I don't know anyone that is the least interested in Good Omens or being part of a fandom in general in my daily life, and I've never been at a convention. To find this amazing oasis online, full of clever, empathic, funny and inviting people has helped me be more my true self. It's wonderful! ๐โค๏ธ๐
Hahaha, so true!๐คฃ I always thought that the kiss was supposed to be desperate and awkward, a last attempt to get through to Aziraphale, try to connect, and so it might have been a conscious acting choice to make it a bit clumsy and just holding it there far too long as we know David did.
Just zoomed out of my work meeting to zoom in on this instead. I have no regrets or excuses. ๐ It's it just me, or does it look like Aziraphale is actually locking lips with Crowleys upper lip rather than lips on lips? Stage kissing instead of really locking lips?
And you're an expert at it, I might add. It takes a certain skill to make an entire fandom weepy, but making us all thank you for it is mastery on a whole other level. ๐
Thank you for those tidbits! Just when I think I have read all the interviews and listened to all the podcasts I learn something new. ๐ฅฐ
They're really being let out of the basement and testing the waters, aren't they?โค๏ธ
I NEED one for work! ๐คฃ
What a cute trio!๐โค๏ธ๐ It looks lovely where you are!๐ฅฐ
I wish I remember more, but this was one of the more general interviews/podcasts- audio only, and I think it was an older one. Male interviewer, easygoing convo. He talked about injuring himself and how one of those leg injuries had ended his dancing career. What is "the Caligula toe"?
Oh, my work also tries hard to promote AI like it's some kind of saviour that will solve everything. But in reality it doesn't work very well. The work might look good at first glance, but once you start digging through the masses of text it's just a load of rubbish!
I'm sure we can find similar ones online, but I'd really love to buy this from the GO shop! โค๏ธ๐
This seems to be the right crowd to ask about something that was said in an interview, but I don't remember who he was talking to. It might also be a joke? Something about him hurting himself (seriously) and not being able to dance anymore. Was Michael ever trained in dancing?
Oh you ARE good!๐
This is the level of knowledge that sets the standard for this fandom! ๐๐คฃ
Ohhh, we the fandom thank you for our weekly crumbs! ๐๐ฅฐ Unlike ducks, we don't mind some crumbs, but if you should feel inclined to give us something even better- like, say, a picture of an expert on duck feeding, we wouldn't mind at all. ๐
Oh, I adore her work, so my timeline is full of references to it. But there are so many talented artists in this fandom, so I must go and search for that comic now. โค๏ธ
