If you want some good news that hasn’t been reported, Chlöe Swarbrick held a packed community hui yesterday called “Move on to Where? Real solutions to homelessness”.
It’s nice to know that there are adults in the room who realise sweeping human beings aside is not a solution and are acting to help.

Got my letter from the government today saying my license is retroactively invalid since last Thursday. They took away trans people's licenses with no warning or grace period. It would be illegal for me to drive to the DMV to get it replaced.
Fuck this and everyone who helped get things to this point. Trans rights are human rights—full stop.
The pattern is clear. This Government is secretly locking New Zealand into deeper alignment with the US without ever putting it to the public, whether it's critical minerals deals, AUKUS Pillar 2, or now handing over our biometric data.
Dammit, why do online communities always have to be ruined by surveillance capitalism? I wish these things were public utilities..
