We need better Democrats.
Not a single dollar more for Trumpβs illegal war.
You own this.
You gave Trump a blank check to drag the United States into another illegal war that nobody asked for.
You PUT those brave American service members in harmβs way.
They found him. He died.
Another murder by our immigration goon squads
I am running for Congress because we urgently need leaders who will stand up for our rights. We need leaders who understand that treating human beings like human beings is a moral obligation, not a political question. We need leaders who will work hard to help humanity, not serve the elite. I am a first-generation college graduate, the mom of a young daughter, a proud union member, and a public defender. I have personally experienced many of the challenges that working class people face, and I understand the urgency they demand.
SCOOP β Tom Suozzi has a Democratic primary challenger in the NY-3 congressional race.
Danielle Welch (@daniwelch.bsky.social), a public defender, has officially declared her candidacy.
Welch gave me this comment about launching her campaign:
janel grant at the lectern, with chyron
Whoa
Janel Grant, accuser in the Vince McMahon sex-trafficking case (no, not the pedophilia-ring case, that's a different thing) made a very rare public appearance yesterday at a media conference for the Connecticut Alliance to End Sexual Violence (she enters at 10:30):

It's up
To sum up, I feel like what happened yesterday and the bitter divide wouldnβt have happened if we had all collectively come to piece together what happened rather than jump to one side immediately, and I unfortunately against better judgement played a role in that. I should be better than that.
Many things have been said about those criticizing Rukus for the post, I want to make clear my statements towards him which I no longer stand by were in regards moreso to him leaving which I didnβt understand the full context of, and thatβs my fault, and I didnβt respond to his post at the time.
I didnβt see this persons replies at the time, and it was a failure of media literacy on my part not to look into what this person was saying or what other people were saying he had said. I donβt know if he was the only one or if there were others doing what he was doing, as I checked the post once.
He did attend a Harry Potter concert and not as some people have suggested a John Williams concert (the pic is still up on his Insta), and the replies I saw at the time were just concerned critiques, but some have pointed out a certain individual who made it a point to harass him which wasnβt cool.
Reflected for a day on the whole Rukus thing from the last two days and decided Iβd delete my previous statements. While some people defending him have spread some misinfo or donβt know everything that happened, I donβt either, and I shouldβve given him more grace in my responses. Iβm sorry. #AEW
People really treating post-feminism as if the full goals of feminism were actually achieved and therefore modern sexist depictions of women arenβt actually sexist. π₯
Sorry that you seem to believe getting kinda upset that the response to explaining to someone that said concert generates money for said transphobe which has been proven to be funneled into anti-trans causes is for the person in question to dip without saying anything is βunhingedβ.
100% sympathize. It kinda does just feel like the community here is having a hard time being able to accept that their favorites arenβt completely perfect or even sometimes do associate with really bad people. Itβs become really frustrating as someone who wants wrestling to be a safe space.
I donβt hate the guy or anything. I just think him packing up and fleeing at the first sign of him getting critiqued for something is kinda just frustrating if anything.
My frustrated reaction to Rukus isnβt just βoh he went to a Harry Potter thing I hate himβ. My reaction is based on the responses he got which for the most part were just people explaining the Rowling stuff and being politely disappointed, and him responding by just deleting his account.

AEW crowd chants "F*CK ICE" before the main event. π
Doesnβt even need to be a major pro-AEW exodus or anything. Itβs more than just about supporting a different wrestling company because another did bad. Itβs about actually having the self-respect to fully support victims of SA who, like tonight, constantly get spit on by abusers and enablers.
Folks, is it too woke to say I donβt support people hanging out with pedophiles?
Media coverage of Gaza has plummeted. So today on @thenation.com, we're doing something pretty special: we're only running pieces by people in and from Gaza.
We're calling it "A Day for Gaza." You can find links to all of the incredible pieces here. Please read! www.thenation.com/article/worl...
What do you MEAN the president audibly SHIT himself live on camera and they immediately cancelled the press conference and rushed everyone out of the room like it's a fire drill, and it happened two days ago, and I'm just hearing about it NOW?

Help us beat the last remaining Dem congressman who voted AGAINST the Affordable Care Act (oh, and Rep. Stephen Lynch also voted to "thank ICE" and expand deportations in a safe blue Massachusetts seat). Proud to endorse @patrickroath.bsky.social! Chip in π secure.actblue.com/donate/lwdwe...
A Statement From Tom β 1/26/26 "I failed to view the DHS funding vote as a referendum on the illegal and immoral conduct of ICE in Minneapolis. I hear the anger from many of my constituents, and I take responsibility for that. I have long been critical of ICE's unlawful behavior and I must do a better job demonstrating that. The senseless and tragic murder of Alex Pretti underscores what happens when untrained federal agents operate without accountability. President Trump must immediately end "Operation Metro Surge" and ICE's occupation of Minneapolis that has sown chaos, led to tragedy, and undermined experienced local law enforcement." βCongressman Tom Suozzi (NY-3)
Rep. Tom Suozzi(D-NY), getting raked over the coals for his vote for more ICE funding, says in a campaign email that he didnβt understand what he was doing
