This Sand Hill Crain was hanging around the fields near where we live. Sorry there is no food for this bird. It should be melting more this week so it can find something to eat. It seems really early for this guy to be here. Maybe its a sign for an early spring. #sandhillcrane

Yes, we received more snow yesterday, we are getting closer to spring. Soon we are going to see a lot of brown snow when it melts. This was taken close to home in Kalkaska County, Michigan. #winter

We had a warm spell for a while and then this happened, we had more snow. I have to say it was beautiful even though we would like to see the warmer weather. This was at the train tracks in Fife Lake, Michigan, one of my favorite places to photograph. #winterwonderland

Pulling from the archives again, this was taken over Lake Huron, the sunrise side of the state 4 years ago. It was a beautiful sunrise. The answer to yesterdays photo is that it was sunny out showing tree shadows on the snowbank on the road. #sunrisesideofmichigan

This Yak poised for me yesterday, We have these long haired bovid living down the road from us. These are a beautiful breed, I understand that their meat is lean and nutritious and these animals thrive in frigid, high altitude environments. Enjoy! #yak

The rain we encountered sure did some flooding, I captured theses photos from the train. We got back to Kalamazoo, MI. and our Son picked us up and home we went. I hope everyone enjoyed these photos from this past trip. It was just a great time to do this since its been a cold winter. #midwest

We stayed in Flagstaff one last night and hopped back onto the Amtrak Train and headed to Kalamazoo, Michigan. These photos were taken from the train showing the weather we had on the way back in New Mexico and Kansas, It rained and rained. #amtrak

We traveled from the Crater to Sedona, AZ, many stops on the way to capture views of the area. We then stayed in Flagstaff, AZ. I hope everyone is enjoying the trip we were on years ago. #outwest

Today we are at Meteor Crater Natural Landmark, near Winslow, AZ. This is privately owned and an awesome site to see, It was a really windy day when we were there. This crater is about 4000 feet across. #meteorcrater

Leaving the North Rim and traveling through the Navaho Reservation. There was not much vegetation and just a lot of rocks. Very interesting formations. I also had to stop at bridge that was built right into the rocks ( I don’t remember the name of the river) . #outwest
