The 2026 Barkley Marathons began with one of the strongest fields ever. The starting field came from 15 Counties as well as 15 States, and included ten women. The course seemed not to care. Over 70% of the field is done. #BM100

On today's run I did a sub 4 minute kilometre.
Hardly Bannister, but not too shabby considering.
The last 200m was a grim hang on, blowing out my arse. Seconds really do stretch when you're in the red.

Last night Anna Troup won the ladies race of Race Across Scotland, finishing 4th overall.
This after outright winning the summer Spine Race in June.
After nearly 3 years out with injury.
Oh, and she's 55 for anyone thinking age makes the slightest difference in ultra events.
