Coming forthwith. Well no, because that means "without delay", and I will probably drag my feet on filling this out. Coming in the not-so-distant-future (?).

Historically all of Trump's accusations have been projections of his own intent. I fully expect this current situation to expand to Trump attacking and taking over the entire Middle East.

Jasmine Crockett is an incredible leader and TX doesn't even deserve her. James Talarico is a come-lately who was elevated because he's an average white man, and Democrats are scared of above-average Black women.

I still don't believe TX will flip, and definitely not to Talarico.

I have been saying this for over a decade and not sure how it has continued to escape so many people. Once he bullied Obama into showing his birth certificate and then moved the goalposts to demand more, it was obvious we should not play his games, ever.

What a bunch of fuckwits. I can't even. But I bet Trump is salivating at the thought of people dying *for him*.

GOD I love Lucy McBath. Good for her not letting Plastic Face McPuppykiller talk over her.

I read today that the drastic reduction in immigrant laborers within the work force means there are fewer individuals searching for jobs, which means that fewer new jobs are needed to plump up the numbers for job reports to be positive. In other words, giving the illusion of lower unemployment.

Oh yeah, I mean, the part where he claims that he, himself, has been looking through legal documents is just too pathetic to even laugh at. As if he even reads.

"Cheryl Hines says her husband isn't trying to hurt people"

--Yes he is. Go away, Cheryl. Either you signed an absolutely dreadful prenup, or else you are a lying piece of shit. Either way, stop trying to fix your image by lying about him.

But I want them to understand. So I am really glad that Aud Mason-Hyde spoke out, and let themself be so vulnerable, and I hope Lithgow hears it and understands. And I hope others do too.

Actors aren't the only ones who don't realize how much supporting JKR's IP, even if not her views, still hurts.

11.02.2026 19:11 ๐Ÿ‘ 0 ๐Ÿ” 0 ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0 ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

I truly believe that Lithgow doesn't see that because he's not close to anyone who experiences it, and it's academic to him. He doesn't REALIZE why it's hurtful.

I have to believe that. I can't think that he - or someone like Nick Frost whom I truly think is a lovely human - just doesn't care.

11.02.2026 19:11 ๐Ÿ‘ 0 ๐Ÿ” 0 ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1 ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

...Not even political or ideological opinions. It's a difference of ACTION. JKR makes a shit-ton of money off of everything Potter. You don't have to work with her face-to-face; by creating something derivative from her ideas, YOU are actively making her that money.

Which she uses to hurt people.

I've seen Lithgow publicly state that he finds Rowling's comments and actions "incomprehensible", and I believe he means it, and I'm so happy to hear he was affirming and kind with Aud Mason-Hyde.

But Lithgow (& Nick Frost & many others) are missing that this isn't JUST a difference of opinions..

I deeply love John Lithgow, and I am so glad that his co-star - who by everything said here also found him to be lovely - spoke their mind.

I think a lot of lovely, accepting people who aren't super plugged into these situations don't recognize the personal side here.

He's also claiming that in 10-20 years money will be meaningless and there will be more robots than humans. Neither of these is realistic, and the first one coming from him is absolutely laughable. I wonder how much ketamine he's doing lately.

Hot take!
I don't like Wuthering Heights.
I LOATHE Jane Eyre.

I have not read either of Anne Bronte's books but I think I might like the 2nd, if I can find it, specifically bc I understand it's the only Bronte book where an abusive violent man is NOT the romantic hero.

Jane Austen > any Bronte.

Oh believe me I know, and I know no one is going to change now. I've been boycotting them for at least 8 years, and added first Whole Foods and then WaPo to my boycott list over time, but the number of ppl I've managed to convince to do the same - even with just ONE of these companies - is tiny.

Maybe they're going by the Rotten Tomatoes reviews and scores after the review bombing from AI bots. (Have you read those reviews? They're delightfully verbose, meaningless, and weird. And they contradict themselves in the same review.)

Haha, I'm kidding though, legacy media was told what to say.

Oh, oh, I just thought. Is there enough evidence against Woody Allen in the Epstein files to FINALLY ARREST HIM and make it clear he is a pedo rapist, once and for all??? PLEASE??
(Disclaimer: I was a HUGE Woody fan in my youth & still think his early movies are good tho I'll NEVER watch them again)

I honestly don't think we are talking enough about how much of Amazon's OWN MONEY was spent to create and distribute this state propaganda. No, they didn't fully bankroll it, but they put more in than they will get back in exchange for Rich People Favors.

This movie also has a ridiculously high Rotten Tomatoes audience score because of review bombing (many reviews are AI-written and recognizably nonsense).

Yeah it can make money when her millionaire family is buying out theaters and offering free tickets that people aren't taking.

Apparently most people don't like Netflix's "The Bubble" but I think it's hilarious and will happily watch it again someday.

Maybe it's because I like so much of the cast (it's a big cast and I'm a huge fan of like 65% of it) but I think this movie was underappreciated. It's dumb on purpose.

I naively thought in years past that ppl who make HUGE mistakes like this would realize & admit they screwed up, but eventually I realized that sunken-cost fallacy and general hubris mean they will rationalize instead. B/c image & moral high ground outweigh any actual care they have for their cause.

Possible down side: hiding in a large, empty room will make it that much easier for law enforcement to find you without a single person there to hide behind.

I don't think people are talking enough about the fact that Amazon is paying people to see "Melania".
Not the fact that they have to pay people just to watch the movie. I'm saying, why are we not talking about the fact that AMAZON is using their own money to push Trump propaganda?

OMG you and me, same train of thought. LOL. I feel so alone on this platform sometimes XD I consider myself very progressive but I don't like how that's tied so strongly to a political figure I consider to be very self-serving and more interested in disrupting things than fixing them.

Ah yes, I forgot that Bernie actually supported him. I have to say that Sanders has a VERY bad record on some of his picks. I still remember when he backed an anti-abortion Dem candidate b/c he liked the dude's economic stance back in... '18 maybe? I haven't trusted his endorsements since then.

29.01.2026 21:43 ๐Ÿ‘ 1 ๐Ÿ” 0 ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1 ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Way I figure it: Trump doesn't know Fetterman, who has never done anything for him. Trump knows Dr. Oz b/c he's on TV, so he put him in his cabinet. Fetterman ran and won against Oz. Fetterman has a D next to his name in Congress. Ergo, Trump won't get anything from listening to him, so he won't.

29.01.2026 21:37 ๐Ÿ‘ 0 ๐Ÿ” 0 ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0 ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

To make it as short and clear as possible: I don't believe John Fetterman stands for anything except taking whatever label or public opinion will get him the most votes. That includes supporting Sanders/accepting Sanders's support, but sloughing it later when politically expedient.

29.01.2026 21:35 ๐Ÿ‘ 1 ๐Ÿ” 0 ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0 ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

I may have misunderstood, but just in case, I'm not at all against socialism and wasn't suggesting that Fetterman was/is a bad guy b/c of being a Democratic socialist. I'm saying he, in his own words, is not and never has been a Democratic socialist. IDK how he even got that label. Just to be clear.

John Fetterman - Wikipedia

Nah Fetterman was never really a progressive, he supported Bernie Sanders but a lot of it was to get clout with voters. I suspect he also just didn't like Clinton. He has a lot of questionable past stuff including pulling a gun on a Black jogger. Other stuff here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Fe...
