in retrospect, though: i found out after i came out that my great grandmother on my moms side was named Jennifer, and was a monster. like to the level that when i first told my grandma my name she froze up. so with that knowledge, i am reclaiming the name in my family by being Jen.

i just closed my eyes and heard "Jen". never looked back after that
