After 6 months of fighting and waiting, roofers are here and repairing and patching our roof. We will have to continue to save for a full roof replacement but I can't tell ya'll how happy we are to finally reach this point since Helene.
I’m close to caving too. Libby wait is MONTHS. So I’m listening to Ebony Gate and hoping the pain resides so I can return to Oathbound lol

I started my Legendborn re-read later than planned today but I also pre-ordered Oathbound from Barnes and Noble so I have time. But now all I want to do is read but I have dumb adult responsibilities.

Her phone is only for maybe some games and to be able to communicate with me when she’s not with me. We track her location as well. The internet is not for children and computer literacy has declined. Please, teach your kids Internet safety.
Imma need yall to pay more attention to what your kids are watching on the internet. A child my daughter’s age randomly tried to walk up and show us a “weird video” and we immediately said no thank you. My 10 year old has a phone but is not allowed social media and we monitor YouTube use.

I feel ill reading this. We were awake when Helene hit us. We were ushering the kids to a safer part of the house when the tree hit our roof. Without NOAA, we won’t be able to see when the massive storms are coming, and they will come.
