I imagine this is very common but just not discussed as big people tend to be invisible in society. Shunned or treated as in the way, since being anorexic is them "fixing" the issue- it is likely treated as healthy despite it not being.

I went from a binge eating condition at nearly 30 stone to anorexia π the idea that big people can't have anorexia is quite common but even as I get close to a weight I could be happy with I have fear of food and constant calorie numbers in my head and struggle to eat what I'd enjoy most
That and he thinks labour is too nice to trans people. π

being unhoused, being in poverty- all of these are political decisions.
We can and should do better!
A quick one to fill in, I managed it in 5 minutes or so x
Say I worked at a restaurant.
I could use the woman's bathroom 5 minutes before my shift.
I could be required to clean it during my shift- but could not use it
I could use it again after my shift.
I love clarity, dignity and respect.
A survey showing 99% agree on anything is incredibly rare, people misread questions or maliciously join anonymous surveys to answer incorrectly. You expect like 4% of answers to be a bit off so this is very very high.

The kings speech last time they proposed this mentioned exceptions for religion and therapeutic practices.
So it excludes most conversion therapy, including that done by the NHS

Lovely things labour can ignore im sure
This came to me in a dream
Nice new pfp xx
The Effectiveness of Gender Exploratory therapy.
Its the only consistent thing among the groups and the only thing that is not age dependant for the large range of ages.
The sample size is too small and too varied to test anything else
Cass is defending it as she wants her conversion therapy tested
I disagree, I think she knows the study is rigged. The design can't show good.
She needs the results to validate her as her report has been globally torn to sheds.
Lift the ban because even IF we pretend the Cass report was accurate- she could not find enough evidence to recommend a ban. The ban is beyond the recommendations
I'm off to spend the day with my boyfriend, so I'll dip out of the convo have fun x
You also need to mention Germany, Australia, new Zealand and Poland all did reviews of it and rejected it as pseudoscience xx
When the first puberty blocker ban started, trans kids were 1/5th of all suicides that year.
20 out of 100, it would of been a really low year for suicides if not for that 5x jump in trans youth suicide
Oh well that's easy, we just look at the massive success rates and the suicide rates when we deny care, so we do the best we can. 1 in 1000 who starts hormones and later deissists might have a chance at changes but every trans child who doesn't get blockers will have permanent changes.
I thought you were refering to the proposed mass lawsuit against tavistock by over a 1000s parents that was in the UK news but never happened. No lawsuits happened for improper care except the bell case which was overturned and only 8 complaints of improper care were made in 10 years.
So the 8 were for improper care we don't know specific, but we know the biggest source of complaints was the service being too slow
We should start pushing for hrt for minors again then, if puberty blockers have risks. We know hrt doesn't π«‘
Legal consequences that never came to pass and were overturned last time?
Papers warned of a 1000 parent lawsuit, none happened. The bell case was overturned and most of her treatment was as an adult.
I fully support detransition which is why I support full trans healthcare, you need both.
One of the best studies we have an Australian study found 1 in 1000 stopping after starting hrt. So only 1 in 1000 had a chance at long term changes. Tavistock served 10s of thousands of kids and only had 8 complaints for improper treatment, say what you want but our clinicians know how ensure trans
Can result in, if not monitored and solved with a simple supplement if noticed.
1-2 years is safe.
Ideally less sure I agree, if the child is sure then cross sex hormones have a lower potential risk profile
