Learning how to ignore hunger does not sound like a great evolutionary strategy. They might need admin privileges to control those.
The hustle to crack the genetic code between Nirenberg and Ochoa was a pretty spicy one too! Or so I hear.

Microscopy photo showing some cell types in the brain, including neurons in blue, astrocytes in gold and microglia in purple. Piece of the frontal cortex (Brodmann area 46), rhesus macaque.
Just a piece of cortex I saw under the microscope today ๐ค๐ฌ
Cell types: neurons ๐ต, astrocytes ๐ก, microglia ๐ฃ. Observe how astrocytes are covering two long blood vessels, crossing all the gray matter and almost reaching white matter. The brain is so pretty!
Still here
'can't spell behavior without u' sounds like a 10/10 pickup line
New day new bird
This place sort of feels like the science Twitter I used to like. Maybe even better? Fingers crossed.
Wish I had a fresh preprint to share, but here's the next best thing:
a fresh osprey with some blue sky background.
