I'm not a political genius, but I'm pretty sure the party that published a 600-page manifesto on how they want to shut down the federal government are the ones who shut down the federal government.

You know, it's an admirable bill but it's hard to applaud when you only post the standard careful political announcements but never in the moment to something like, ICE agents assaulting a reporter or a President telling Generals to violate the Constitution!

I hope it's clear to everyone now that Trump really is going for it - he's trying to become a dictator. I don't know if he'll succeed, but he's working to install himself as an autocrat unaccountable to voters. And he's weaponizing the military against Americans who oppose him as part of that effort

Meanwhile, my Dem governor posted a request that the National Parks be kept open during a shutdown.
Of all days, I needed to see elected officials get loud and oppose tyrrany today.

The men in that room have the power to stand against this. They know it's wrong. I don't care how disapproving they were in the audience, it's what they do next that matters. But I'm not holding my breath.

THIS is what Opposition looks like. Schumer wouldnt be able to say these words without equivocating and offering Trump a fig leaf like "maybe he doesn't realize his agents are violating the Constitution.We want to sit down with the President and David sciss their methods." 🙄

And for the next layer who aren't in the the files, they know the information will also be the undoing of the bad behavior they too have managed to get away with.
