Excellent. I seen masses of Woody nightshade the other week but sadly none on it here in Northamptonshire
Then you have a good choice of friends
I can see more could be found along the south coast especially with the interesting other migrant insects being found due to the climate
Just seen another post where a juvenile was also found in one part of the New Forest
@stevenwright58.bsky.social Found so far two spots for Hummingbird hawk moth caterpillars on either ladys or hedge bedstraw, one site in Northants and one site in Warwickshire so far. All four caterpillars found were the green form.
Well done great find
@bsbibotany.bsky.social Well this is just great! Asked to id a plant that turned up in a garden in Northamptonshire. Its only Yellow dodder by the looks a first Northants record!
@bsbibotany.bsky.social Well pleased to stumble on new colony of Mousetail Myosurus minimus the other month while monad recording in Northants. Colony must have been 300 strong in gateways where cattle and farm vehicles churn up the ground. A Northants rare plant register species.
@bsbibotany.bsky.social Close up flower of Little robin Geranium purpureum. A white form too. Thanks to Richard Mabbutt helping me double check i was not seeing things! Two good patches in two gravestones. Northants. Its rare for the vice county too at the moment.
@bsbibotany.bsky.social During monad recording with fellow Northants county recorder Richard Mabbutt, i finally got one of the plant target species on my shopping list for my vice county, Little robin Geranium purpureum. Got yah!

And it's great fun. Just recently found an unexpected find here in Northamptonshire while waiting for our group on a recent meeting. More on that find in due course
