We still have so much more to do to make Ireland an equal playing field for women on work, caregiving, sport and in politics. On International Women‘s Day, I send my support and commitment to addressing these issues. #InternationalWomensDay
The story reported today of a worker from Rathangan, Kildare who had to leave her job in Dublin due to the unbearable commute will resonate with thousands of workers across Kildare and the wider country.
Labour have a plan to end the commuter chaos. Government don’t.

Family carers are working 24/7, and for some they simply don’t have the time to get to a polling station. That’s why I‘m bringing forward a Bill to give carers the right to a postal vote.
By extending postal votes to carers, we can ensure they have their voices heard on polling day.
When over 5,000 children are homeless in Ireland, it is no longer a failure of policy, it is a failure of political will.
Government must radically change course now.
We need a caring Republic, not one that puts developers before a child trapped in homeless accommodation.
