Me too! #Geezers #TheBadOldDays

He might. They’re putting him back on the right side apparently after Kaiden Guhle proved incapable of handling the assignment.

Fair enough.

There have been times when I have felt that Arber’s leash has been too short. But on the whole I don’t buy the argument that MSL doesn’t like him. He has favoured him over Struble at every turn. He keeps giving him chances. But those chances are probably running out fairly soon.

Honestly i don’t know. But everyone in the NHL seems to have moved away from this system. I presume there’s a reason for that.

I certainly hope so. They have to stop throwing away points by putting Monty in the net when he has shown he doesn’t belong there.

Now as in the last 3-4 games yes. He has been god-awful all season before this.

I don’t like the man to man coverage either. But Arber is a big part of the reason they keep giving up on the hybrid system - his reads are too slow to make it work.

Look, I love him too. But I think he’s in trouble.

Gas was 157.9 per litre this morning. And it’s going to keep going up. That makes ordinary folks poorer; will drive up the cost of literally everything; enriches Putin and helps him wage war in Ukraine; and enriches oil companies including those plundering Venezuela.

I mean everyone makes mistakes. Arber makes too many and often they’re unforced errors as was the case Saturday night. Worse, when he makes a mistake it often snowballs.

With Reinbacher and Engstrom knocking on the door, his runway to establish himself as a regular is getting quite short.

09.03.2026 14:01 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

He doesn’t have the gas for a 60 minute game so that seems probable. It’s sad to see but he’s just not getting it done.

I am really hoping 1) that Fowler gets Monty’s starts from here on in and 2) that they bring Reinbacher up to see what he can do. If they have to waive someone to make both these things happen (and I think they do - they can do one or the other without waiting anyone but not both), so be it.

His corsi looks good because he played limited minutes against weak opposition. That giveaway could have cost them the game in the third.

I have pulled for this guy for four years, but he’s making the same errors now that he did when he was 21.

Yes they do need to be explained. But those explanations will also be ignored. Because these people are cretins.

I think he was too gassed to skate the puck out of harm so he took his shot. I don’t mind that so much.

There were plenty of worse brain cramps in the game.

Weakness doesn’t seem to do it justice. More like β€œhis gaping gangrenous wound.”

I was surprised none of the Ducks didn’t just throw it on net as they crossed the blueline. It felt like that was a a guaranteed goal last night.

07.03.2026 11:58 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

Every time there’s a shot from the point it feels like it has a 50/50 chance of going in. It’s hard to play in front of a goalie who makes you feel like that.

07.03.2026 11:56 πŸ‘ 2 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

I agree - those guys will be of limited use at best. I think Kekaleinen fell prey to Bergevin syndrome where he wanted to show he had done something and didn’t come away empty handed when it might have been better if he had, as you say.

07.03.2026 11:54 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

I feel badly for them. They tried to get the right guys.

07.03.2026 02:09 πŸ‘ 2 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

That’s… insane.

06.03.2026 12:13 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

Don’t get me started on this subject… but just to clarify, there’s a Nazi pole-dancing studio in Montreal?

Are we in a Coen Brothers film?

06.03.2026 02:11 πŸ‘ 4 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

Exactly.

I’m glad Kristi Noem got fired but the triumphalism I am seeing from a lot of people is badly misplaced. This is a virtually meaningless shuffling of the deck chairs, nothing more. It will not actually deliver change or any kind.

The expression on that dolt to his right’s face is the picture of fanaticism.

06.03.2026 01:02 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

Haha. No I think we’re all just having fun here. It’s an innocent mistake.

At least he didn’t call you Tony?

04.03.2026 21:08 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

Agreed. In fact, I might scratch him. It’s time to hold him accountable and send a message to the team that a lack of effort is inexcusable.

04.03.2026 17:22 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

I mean they have done it before and it was moderately successful.

04.03.2026 06:06 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

It’s clearly in his head at this point. He used to be great at them.

02.03.2026 04:59 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

Dobes would be wildly entertaining in a goalie fight.

Killing little girls is one way to distract people from the Epstein Files, I guess.
