Tim Houston announcing that he's rolling back cuts to just enough things that folks who don't care about a livable environment, history or arts will be enough to sustain his stupid fucking tax cut.

He restored funding to the groups that could really move the dial on votes in rural Nova Scotia and now he's lecturing us on deficit numbers as if we've never heard the term before.

I think so. Reality is that I'm also neurodiverse, so going to these games at all is pushing my limits quite a bit, I'm more than willing to do that for her but I think a big part of this is feeling like my limitations were on display and I'll have to reckon with that.

Don't bother, this guy was handed a golden opportunity last year, carte blanche from the feds and he's going to squander it on his American consultants, mining companies and his own ego.

Maybe, I'm looking at what I can do today to maybe make it a little better in the future. But to be honest (and a public website is the best place for this apparently), I'm a little heartbroken that in that situation my kid looked to me to be the hero and I failed.

It's really critical that we keep pushing, keep protesting, keep insisting that he doesn't get to claim the moral high ground

I'd like to think this will be a shift to working 'with' the people of this Province (especially considering the price shock that's just getting started, especially for the people targetted by his cuts), but let's face it, he's going to gaslight all of us

Especially in that environment. We've been going to these games for the past few months and she's had a blast but she's always been nervous around a crowd (as am I). This time she brought a sharpie and wanted to try and get signatures from the players, she was so excited.

love love love telling my little girl we were going to a sold out playoff hockey game at the university tonight only to find out that our seats and every nearby seat is taken up by a small army of little boys whose parents allow to sit wherever so they can watch the game in peace. Even better...

At this point everyone who is going to understand war-oil-inflation-affordability already does. The rest is just noise. No point in jumping into the comments on local radio station gas price posts, there’s no listening there.

It's sort of amazing because the exact same type of inflation shock is what put him within inches of Sussex Drive and now he's got to realign and try do that same thing but without the benefit of being able to lie nearly as brazenly about the cause (while still lying)
