I think most of the new Gorillaz album is fairly chill. Doesn't overly grab me, but is something inoffensive to toss on the background. I did find it funny among everything else that Albarn tried to do a Bowie track, though.
If you want to add another oddity to it (apart from appearing on that soundtrack to that movie), it was also co-written with Tori Amos.
That movie had one of the weirdest places for a Peter Gabriel banger to show up randomly on the soundtrack.

A thing I think about a lot when people get defensive that a thing they love is flawed in possibly deep and bad ways is that they're afraid that makes them bad. It doesn't. It's only bad if you refuse to acknowledge said flaws and/or get mad at people discussing those flaws.

Hereβs the thing for me. There is a bunch of media that I enjoy that is problematic in one way or another. Thatβs my choice. But what I donβt do is deny that it is problematic. I have to deal with that and I have to be OK with other people not being OK with it. I donβt get defensive about it.
