The "Only the kids like Animation" mindset is just as much a problem for the industry as the people who run it.
Frankly, the former mindset might in fact be what is used to justify having it be the focus of budgetary related cuts and layoffs.

Also, do you wanna know why this mindset of "Animation is for only for kids" is still a thing? It's because of movies like Norm of the North and The Emoji Movie. Movies that don't put any effort on the story or jokes in order to ONLY appeal to the kids.
I am gonna see this movie tonight hopefully.
Also if animated films 📽️ wanna be looked more as a medium, the filmmakers need to start putting more effort on the story and making it more appealing to everyone instead of just kids, which is why movies like The Emoji Movie and Norm of the North were very infamous.

Today marks 5 years since the premiere of #KampKoral: SpongeBob's Under Years and the U.S. release of The #SpongeBob Movie: #SpongeOnTheRun.
DreamWorks has officially unveiled new details about The Wild Robot sequel. The film is named after the second book, The Wild Robot Escapes, and Nimona director Troy Quane will direct while Chris Sanders will return to write the sequel. I was hyped before, my hype has tripled.
